  • Yoga practice has a positive effect on the hippocampus, which is implicated in age-related neurodegenerative diseases and chronic stress.
  • Verbal memory performance of the brain is improved by yoga.
  • Following a yoga intervention, increases in connectivity of regions in the brain were associated with improvements in verbal MEMORY recall.
  • The effect of yoga practice on the brain was greater in yoga experts; but all yoga helped, even as little as a few weeks.
