This is a private yoga therapist class pass for one 45 minute class with Flametree’s registered yoga therapist. See more below on online or in-studio options, as well as regular classes where you can work with the benefit of yoga therapy approaches.

Please note that in most cases, your best option is to attend my regular yoga classes. I’ll give you registered yoga therapist solutions that you can implement as part of those regular classes. That’s because I (Chris Lalor), am both an accredited Senior Yoga Teacher, and a registered Yoga Therapist.

I can quickly see what will help most individuals with situations they may have.

I can then use my classes, and formal or informal one-to-one conversations, to guide you towards outcomes that improve any condition you may have.

In the process, students usually get improvements, and often very powerful and positive outcomes, very quickly.

In any of the various ongoing yoga classes, I also still have plenty of time to give whatever additional help or adjustments that students may need.

Learn more about the yoga therapy online and in-studio class options at Flametree’s page with more information on finding a registered yoga therapist.

A regular beginner class may be a good alternative

If you’re unsure about a certified yoga therapist private class, then also please consider the wide range of regular classes that Flametree Yoga offers.

As you’ll see in the Beginner Yoga Timetable, there are 8 beginner classes every week, both online and in three locations in the Darwin, Australia region.

There are normal beginner classes, and Special Focus Classes like Gentle Yoga, Back Neck & Shoulder Yoga, and Easy Restorative Yoga.

Many of the beginner classes are also taught by Chris Lalor, Flametree’s accredited Senior Yoga Teacher and Certified Yoga Therapist. Among other things, you can chat to her about your situation before or after such classes. Then, she can adjust the yoga poses taught, so you get appropriate alternative poses if required.

In addition, you’re likely to find that the yoga in our regular beginner classes will relatively quickly address whatever situation you face. Again, Chris Lalor can easily advise you about that.

Below, a tiny video shows some examples of beginner yoga.

Please note that options like Gentle Yoga, or Easy Restorative Yoga, are slower, and easier than regular beginner classes. They may be more appropriate to whatever challenges you face (at least as a starting point).

One option to get started with a regular beginner classes is the HALF price beginner ten class pack (including 2 FREE classes), either online or in-studio.

Teachers & focus for yoga private classes

During the class, you get the exclusive attention of a highly experienced and certified yoga therapist.

She’s extensively trained in accordance with the world renowned Iyengar yoga style.

You can request a Special Focus in the private class. For example, the focus may be around gentle yoga, or backache, trauma, anxiety, relaxing, improving sleep, working out, immune system, positivity, individual condition, or whatever. Some of the numerous issues addressed by yoga are outlined on the Flametree blog page.

Whether online or in-studio, the class is two-way and interactive. In both cases, the teacher is able to clearly see your postures and situation. The teacher can then demonstrate and talk you through the exact poses that will work best for the benefits you want to get.

The teacher may also provide you with a list of poses for you to practise on a regular basis, or suggest which of Flametree’s regular yoga classes you are best to attend.

Class length

This private class will vary be 45 minutes.  If you wish, subject to the teacher, a longer class can be negotiated.

If there is a long period of travel involved, there may be an additional charge for the travel.

Minimum yoga props needed

The minimum yoga props needed is a non-slippery surface such as some types of mats. Ideally, a low cost mat is best.

Other props can be improvised from around a home or office, such as small a belt, small block, and kitchen chairs.
