As delicious as desserts and smoothies are, they often contain too much added sugar, and too little protein.
So, here’s an excellent alternative that contains fig, pear, banana, coconut milk, coconut yoghurt, silken (very soft) tofu, and spices.
As you can see from this list of delicious ingredients, it got all the makings of a yummy and healthy combinations.
I started experimenting with fig smoothie recipes, but then decided it was also wonderful as this fig dessert. So, follow my recipe to try it both ways, and see what you think.

These benefits have been known since ancient times, but studies are increasingly documenting them.
Fig trees like warm, dry Mediterranean climates, with more sandy soil. Plus, they bear their delicious fruit twice a year.
So, fig trees are also great for your garden, and you get them affordably.

Here are the ingredients for your easy fig desserts recipe.
- 6 fresh figs
- A cup of coconut milk
- One banana
- Half a pear
- 125 grams of silken tofu
- A tsp of cinnamon
- A dessert spoon of coconut yoghurt
- Possibly plant-based milk… to add as required below
- Coconut yoga to serve with it (but not as part of the ingredients in the mixing outlined below).
Because of the tofu, this healthy fig dessert is already very protein rich.
With coconut yoghurt or not.

Fig dessert recipes gluten free option too. By the way, if you have not tried the Nakula brand of coconut natural yoghurt, its low sugar (3%), and more tasty than most.
How to make easy fig desserts healthy mixes
Make your vegan fig dessert with these steps.
- Blend all the ingredients together so as to get a smooth and thick consistency
- Add plant-based milk if needed but not so it gets too runny (because then it won’t set easily in the fridge)
- Chill it for a couple of hours until it sets like a jelly.
- Add chopped figs, bananas, and / or sunflower seeds on top
- Serve with coconut yoghurt.
If you want to use it as a smoothie, and can drink it as soon as you like, then add more plant based milk. But, don’t chill it to the stage where it sets.
Have it with or without coconut yoghurt.
