  • Juice of one lemon
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 2 bunches of fresh basil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • A third of a cup of sunflower seeds
  • A third to half cup of good olive oil
  • A bunch of asparagus
  • Chickpea spiral pasta, or whatever you prefer
  • 4-6 cherry tomatoes, preferably organic
  • Half tsp of smoky paprika.

Plus, if you prefer it hotter, then add some chili.

Use these steps, and the chickpea pasta shown in the picture (or whatever you prefer)

  • Commence cooking pasta in boiling, salted water
  • Steam asparagus until cooked, but still firm
  • Cool it under cold water, and cut into 2 cm pieces like in the picture
  • Blend all of ingredients except asparagus and pasta
  • Add olive oil to get pesto mix to a consistency you like
  • Drain pasta
  • Mix pesto and asparagus
  • Put pesto over pasta, and add some cut cherry tomatoes.
