Anxiety is our natural response to stress. We all experience anxiety at various times during our lives. Feelings can range from butterflies in your stomach to a racing heart, rapid breathing, feeling out of control, feeling faint, dizzy, dry mouth, sweating, chills, hot flushes, feeling a disconnect between your physical body and mind, having trouble concentrating, and difficulty sleeping.

Anxiety is a major issue at any time, but it is more pronounced in 2020.

What we are living with around the threat of contracting Covid 19, or our loved ones contracting the virus, or our whole lives being turned upside down, or losing jobs, or defaulting on mortgages or loans; is seriously anxiety producing.

Yoga has a lot to offer us at this time as governments all around us are preparing to ease many of the Covid 19 restrictions. Not only does a yoga practice ensure that you stay fit and healthy, but it gives you the tools to deal with stress.

In order to stay on top of your anxiety you need to not only de-stress daily, but also be able to appreciate that you do have control over many aspects of your own life.

Yoga can help us put in place strategies to deal with milder levels of anxiety. Obviously, anxiety is a mental condition and in more severe cases yoga may not on its own be enough to deal with more severe anxiety disorders. But at least give yoga a try, via this Special Focus Workshop, and / or our Special Focus weekly classes, or both.

Among other things, it has no debilitating side effects!

Belinda and Chris will conduct the WORKSHOP. Both of them use and teach yoga daily for the many benefits it provides.
